Planks are hard, but for these guys, they are a piece of cake.
Recently in May, the world-record for the longest held abdominal plank was broken.
Mao Weidong, a policeman from China, shattered the world-record by setting a new record for the longest abdominal plank with an incredible time of 8 hours and 1 minute.
The previous world-record was set by Weidong in 2014 where he held the position for 4 hours and 26 minutes.
Weidong’s new record was achieved during an event held by Men’s Health in Beijing, China. During the event, competitors went head-to-head against one other for the ultimate champion to be crowned.
Former Marine Officer and DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agent George Hood from the United States was Mao’s toughest competitor, holding a plank for an impressive and admirable 7 hours, 40 minutes, and 5 seconds.
